Took my family here while visiting Pentwater for the first time. All of the food was great except the Mexican rice bowl with veggies. It was drenched in what appeared to be enchilada sauce and it totally ruined the dish. I recommend cutting back on the sauce so my rice bowl doesn't appear to be more of a soup dish. So close to a 5 star place!

Burger was good, mom's Mexican dish was apparently not as tasty but eatable. Pretty good service. Easy to find for out of towners. Suggest parking around the corner. Could use some updated chairs/tables but overall a good visit.

The best beer selection in town bar none. This is my go to spot when I'm in town. The service is great, down to earth friendly people. Try the burrito!

Hit the antler for lunch with the kids. The interior aesthetics are about what you expect with the name. Lunch burger special was great- everything else was just ok- tacos pretty mediocre. Service was friendly.

Love antler Bar's Mexican food. My brother goes there for the fish on Fridays. Usually pretty good service. Pretty tight seating on the lower level and some right outside the bathroom door which can be a bit of a bummer.

Went in with 4 grandchildren who all had widely different food preferences. They were all able to get something they liked. Good variety, good food and good service. Prices very reasonable for a tourist town.

Service mediocre at best. When you order Mexican food, they don't mess around with the cheese - they give you plenty. Mexican food is always a good stand-by here. Perch is always good too. A friend ordered a rice bowl but it was much more a salad than anything else. A few others had burgers which were good also. Server seemed nice but had too many tables. We had to ask for drinks, refills and to have plates cleared. Beer selection (craft on tap) wasn't too great either. We are seasonal people and have been there dozens of times.

I was here with my sister in Pentwater for a week of camping and after swimming in the Lake we were hungry and walked into this bar by chance. The man who was our server was very nice and greating, my sister is a vegitiarian so we were concerned that they wouldn't have anything for her, but she ordered the rice bowl and it was amazing. I had a burger and it was very good. The long island was a bit pricey but it was good as well.

The burgers were great!! We had Texas burgers that were very juicy. And the staff was friendly. They hung out daughter's drawing up behind the bar for everyone to see.

My parents have a second home in Pentwater. We’ve been going to the Antler for years. This past weekend they were treated HORRIBLE by the owner. There was a miscommunication with seating, and the owner screamed and yelled and threw a chair at my mom. When the table of people tried to tell the owner she continued on her tirade stating she was going to call the police on my parents for causing problems. Again, the seated patrons tried to get her to calm down but she continued to scream and threaten the police. How embarrassing for that place. Used to love going there but now I’ll never give a penny to that place again.

Good food...a little dark on the inside but didn't detract from the experience. I'd recommend!

Good food slow service

Crystal accommodated my extremely crazy requests as if Sandra Bullock or John C. Reilly were in from Hollywood doing the asking. The food was an A+, had the Antler Burrito with shredded beef. It's their #1 seller. Again, very nice job by Crystal on getting me the very specific private dining we require. Thanks Crystal!

I use to like this place, BUT when I was getting food there I witnessed the owner THROW, a chair at a customer. I was appalled. How can someone treat their customers like this? I will NEVER go back. Food was only decent. I won’t miss it. Disappointed in this establishment. I wish I would rate it even lower.

Love this place

Decided to try the Hand-Breaded Perch dinner. That was a good decision. My sides were the Spanish Rice and Grilled Vegetables. I washed it down with Guinness watching the Detroit Tigers lose. The meal was delicious. Noticed that the prices are a little on the higher side for the area. The staff is attentive and friendly. There's a kids menu with the basics (burgers, chicken strips, etc.) and a kid's Perch dinner! They have drink specials and also have a few Michigan beers. This place is good for families, couples, or groups. Check it out! Play some pool, drink some beer, watch some sports, or eat some good food. I recommend trying this place out when you're in Pentwater!

It's an old school bar full of pretty tourists in the summer and thirsty locals in the winter. Food is good. Service good. Never disapoints.

Overall a nice tavern. The service was good and my food was good. Not upscale; someplace you could go in shorts and flip flops and relax.

Been to the Antler many times while visiting Pentwater, ehhh ok service, it’s slow mostly because they are under staffed. Food is good but after witnessing a very rude and obnoxious owner yell at customers and refuse to listen. Then continue to toss chairs in their directions as if she is a 2 year old toddler not getting her way. Turn around and have the audacity to show her face and say she was calling the police on the customer who did absolutely nothing wrong but try to clear up a misunderstanding. Not sorry I will never set foot in there again! Taking my business elsewhere!

Decent food and prices. Nothing to special but it also wasn't bad by any means. Slow but they were understaffed when we went.

The Antler Bar and Liquor. A Downtown Pentwater historical location. I have been going to Pentwater for 65 years and the Antler was always there in my memory. This is a “belly up to the bar” kind of place. Locals and visitors have been going to for generations. Plenty chairs if you don’t want to sit at the bar. Family owned and family friendly. This is a have to stop when in Pentwater. Home made Tomato Bisque is to die for. Sky-high burgers. Gluten free friendly. Jeans and flip flops friendly and preferred.

Food was average except for the bisque soup which was good. Service was friendly but incredibly slow....

Really pleasant atmosphere! Friendly staff! Accomadating! Beautiful decor! Delicious food! Absolutely loved the coconut shrimp and all the options! Will Definately return! WI-FI available! Beautiful pentwater surroundings! Great place to stop on vacation or if you live local! Uniquely pleasant! Don't hesitate it's great!

I may not be able to see!, but I know what I can taste bad food.! This place has has decent food. But I also cannot hear. And I gentlemen at the end of the bar gave me his dog food. Am not a dog. And the wait staff treated me and my brother like a joke!! Never going there again!
